Complete Guide to Understanding Social Anxiety

Have you ever experienced a time when you were reprimanded by your boss to do something wrong? You feel the cold stare eyes almost want to eat you, and you feel like constantly monitored with every movement you make. Or maybe, you've put on some weight and you will visit some old friends. You are so scared about how you feel about it.

After the feelings and thoughts like this really and truly normal. But, when you allow your life to become wrapped around what other people think, say or do for you, this is when a bit of anxiety turned into a big problem. When you are so worried about how others will see you, and your mind revolves around their perception of you may face anxiety disorders.


Social phobia is one of the largest mental health problems to date. Many people who have problems like this to be left alone without any other human interaction. They feel that they will never match a group of people.

Even when surrounded by a group of friends, people who deal with social anxiety disorder are afraid to make mistakes to move in fear that they will be judged by what they do or say. Feeling judged and watched is what makes the people who suffer from disorders of human interaction.

Often times, people who suffer from social phobia is getting misdiagnosed as manic-depression, or schizophrenia. Because the condition is not widely discussed in the media, someone who is associated with social phobia feel as though they were alone in their struggle. People tend to keep their problems to themselves, in doing this and not seek proper treatment they allow this disturbance to burden their presence.
