Social phobia - Do You Want to Know About the Causes or Origin of Social Phobia?

Social phobia can develop for various reasons. Disorders begin in childhood or young adulthood and may grow slowly over time degrees. While this phobia often show up at a young age, can stay with someone for years or decades and can snowball into bigger problems.

Some of the reasons that phobias occur include:

1. In some people, developed a phobia of long-term history of shyness or social inhibition.

2. In the other young people, it plants the situation changes, such as moving to a new school. For adults, this state change may be a change in employment, promotion, a job of public speaking or even a new relationship.

3. Many people experience a sudden onset of social phobia, especially after the embarrassing or frightening experience.

Social phobia is caused by a combination of environmental factors and physical. As with panic disorder, a natural temperament may be an important factor in determining why they develop panic attacks and phobias while others do not.

If as a child, your behaviors are blocked, you are more likely to develop an anxiety disorder in adulthood. You can recognize behavior reflects inhibition by your experiences as a child or ask people who know you as a child.

Behavior you are looking for include nervous moving, crying, and general irritability, followed by withdrawing and seeking comfort from strangers when faced with a new person or situation.

Social phobia, Brain, and Self-perception

Scientists have found that people who suffer from social phobia respond differently to negative comments about themselves, than others. What features of this phobia is the fear and avoid social situations, and fear of negative votes by others, the authors say. This is without doubt the most common anxiety disorders in the general population.

If you have a social phobia also have a higher risk for depression and other forms of self-destructive behavior. We need others to feel good. We need a social network to function properly as a human being.

Research has shown that people with phobias tend to have increased emotional responsiveness to social interaction. The study is published in the Archives of General Psychiatry (Oct 2008) was performed using brain imaging technology, also known as MRI.

How this Study Was Made

This study was conducted with fMRI brain scan.

First, they scan the brains of 17 individuals of social phobia but no drugs. And then they compared the same number of control subjects the same age, sex and IQ, but who do not have a social phobia.

Brain scans taken when the test subjects to read the various statements - positive, negative or neutral. "You're beautiful", may be examples of positive statements. "You look like hell" - negative. "You are human" - neutral. The statement could refer either to himself or others, such as "She's beautiful".

Have you ever experienced a time when you were reprimanded by your boss to do something wrong? You feel the cold stare eyes almost want to eat you, and you feel like constantly monitored with every movement you make. Or maybe, you've put on some weight and you will visit some old friends. People tend to keep their problems to themselves, in doing this and not seek proper treatment they allow this disturbance to burden their presence.

Social Anxiety Disorder - What is Social Phobia

Anxiety social phobia or social anxiety disorder is characterized by severe and persistent restlessness when in social situations, both when interacting with other people, or even just observed.

People suffering from social phobia are afraid of (foreign) people, because they will feel anxious and under the supervision of behaving in a way that may embarrass or humiliate them.

Social phobia with people who are aware of their irrational fears and concerns over their romance, but the arrest will make them do what is done to avoid the fearful situation.

This interferes with the normal activity of people suffering from social phobia. They will begin to avoid all types of social situations - and prove that when the inevitable, they will be very worried - sometimes to the previous month. This is called "perturbation anticipatory."

Dreaded when the event ended, they will continue to be concerned how they appeared to other people. Will they find their edge, or weird, or ...?

This will only increase the level of perturbation anticipatory akan they feel the next time, and the vicious circle of social phobia continues ...

It is natural to feel some degree of anxiety and self-consciences in certain social situations, such as speaking in public or attending a job interview.

What's different with social phobics is that they fear will continue to be present and the proportion of perturbation to the actual situation.
